Timothy D. Garner graduated from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in May, 1987. Tim began his practice on Lake Martin, in Dadeville, Tallapoosa County, Alabama, in 1987, and later moved his practice to Baldwin County in 1994. Tim is a partner in the law firm of Olmstead, Harrell & Garner, LLC, in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Tim focuses primarily on real estate law, title insurance matters, corporate law, and banking law. Most of his clients are developers, contractors, banks, and local business owners. He specializes in commercial and residential real estate development, loan closings, IRS Section 1031 tax deferred exchanges, foreclosures, and other lender transactions. Tim also handles real estate title claim issues and curative litigation, business purchase and sales, condominium and subdivision associations, and general buyer, seller, and lender representation.
Tim serves as local counsel and is an Alabama licensed title insurance agent for Mississippi Valley Title Insurance Company, now known as Old Republic National Title. The law firm conducts its insured real estate closings through Attorneys Title, Inc., an Alabama corporation, as an affiliated company, and Tim is President of the company. Tim is a member of the Alabama State Bar, Baldwin County Bar, Madison County Bar, and the Mobile Bar. Tim is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama.
