Tim graduated from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in May, 1987, and received his license to practice law in Alabama in September, 1987. He practiced law in Dadeville and Alexander City, Alabama in Tallapoosa County from September, 1987, until moving to Gulf Shores in Baldwin County, September, 1995. Tim is also an owner of Attorneys Title, Inc., a title insurance company in Gulf Shores, Alabama, formed in 2001.

The practice consists primarily of commercial and residential real estate development, loan closings, real estate title issues, foreclosures, banking and other lender transactions, IRS Section 1031 tax deferred exchanges, contract negotiation and preparation, business sales and purchases, and buyer, seller, corporate and lender representation.   The firm also represents and provides legal assistance for condominium owners and condominium and other homeowner associations.  Most of the firm’s clients are business owners, banks, mortgage companies, contractors, real estate developers, and realtors.

Tim has closed or otherwise been involved with thousands of loan transactions and other lender matters, including various commercial, residential, SBA, FHA, VA, and other development, construction, acquisition, and refinance transactions. Tim has also foreclosed numerous mortgages and provided legal counsel, title correction assistance, litigation, bankruptcy, and other attorney services for most every local, regional, and FNMA primary and secondary market lender.

All real estate closings are insured and underwritten by Mississippi Valley Title Insurance Company. Tim has been an approved title insurance agent and writing title insurance for Mississippi Valley since 1988, and he also serves as general counsel for Mississippi Valley in Baldwin County. Tim conducts or otherwise supervises all title abstracting and other matters related to the closings, and if requested, Tim will prepare mortgages, notes, guarantees, and other lender documents.
